People transitioning from homelessness often have very little other than their clothes. We’ve learned with experience that the best used items are smaller and lighter practical pieces of furniture.  We typically only accept furniture that will fit in a small apartment and can be moved upstairs without an elevator. In order to treat our clients with dignity and respect, we do not  accept items that are stained, torn, damaged by pets, chipped, or broken.  

In general, if you would not donate your items to a family member or friend, it is not suitable for our clients.  We will inspect items before accepting and may need to refuse items that can’t be used.
